A Sandwich Fit for Olympians

National sandwich chain Erbert and Gerbert's debuts a sandwich for the Olympics

A sandwich fit for athletes in their prime.

In celebration of the upcoming Olympic Games, national chain Erbert & Gerbert's has created a sandwich fit for athletes in their prime. The Apollo Signature Sandwich includes grilled chicken breast, cherrywood smoked bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, and their Heroic Chipotle Citrus BBQ sauce.

The Apollo sandwich will be available in all locations until June 3. The Apollo joins other Signature sandwiches including the saucy Quatro Cranberry Wasabi Chicken; the Erupter, made with Buffalo chicken and blue cheese; the Pompeii, featuring sweet chile chicken salad; the sweet and spicy Spartan, with chicken and Peppadew mustard; and the Titan, with pesto mayo, sun-dried tomato, cucumber, and turkey.

The Apollo is inspired by the childhood stories the owner's father used to tell him, just like the other Signature sandwiches on the menu.
